Finally, We are under Anna University

Anna Universities in Tiruchi, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Madurai will be merged with the Anna University, Chennai, in order to ensure uniform standards in technical education throughout Tamil Nadu, according to chief minister J. Jayalalithaa on Sunday (22-07-2012).

About Us





15 Visiting Faculty members are serving under various disciplines. Out of 15, 6 are Ph.D. holders and some of them are pursuing their Research in
indispensable domains of Science, Engineering and Technology. More faculty
positions are scheduled to be filled up shortly. 


 Anna University,Chennai is taking necessary action for the
construction of permanent building for the engineering college in a prime
location in Kanchipuram.

Objective



The main objective of the college is to enable the students to master in the
engineering skills needed for making perfect invention to sort out and solve the 
technical problems of the society.

University College of Engineering Kanchipuram, established in the academic
year 2010-11 by the Government of Tamil Nadu is presently situated in the
renowned Kanchipuram District, Tamil Nadu which finds a place in the map for
excellent temple architecture. It is a constituent college of Anna University of
Technology Chennai. It is the birth place of former Chief Minister of Tamilnadu
Dr.C.N. Anna Durai.  It is also famous for its silk sarees, which are hand woven.
This Institution is housed, at present, in Bhaktavatsalam Polytechnic Campus,
Karaipettai hamlet of Kanchipuram, which is about 5 km from Kanchipuram and
65 km from Chennai, on the Chennai-Bangalore Highways. 219 students have
been admitted for B.E. Degree Programmes during the inception of the College.
The Institution pays keen interest to impart quality technical education. 
Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls are also maintained.

Welcome to University College of Engineering Kanchipuram...

University College of Engineering Kanchipuram established in the academic year 2010-11 by the Government of Tamil Nadu as a Constituent College of Anna University of Technology Chennai is temporarily situated at Bhaktavatsalam Polytechnic Campus, Karaipettai Village & Post, Kanchipuram-631552 which is about 5 km from Kanchipuram and 65 km from Chennai, on the Chennai-Bangalore Highway. The new born institution is initially offering four engineering under graduate B.E. Degree programmes in various disciplines with annual intake of 240. Although the institution was introduced in the counseling list in 2010 through Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission, all the allotted seats were completely filled up and among them, 219 wards had registered for B.E. Degree Programmes during the inception of the College. Separate Hostels for Boys and Girls are also facilitated.  The University is taking necessary action for the construction of permanent building for the engineering college in a prime location in Kanchipuram.


Presently, the college offers four under graduate degree programmes in the following departments with each intake of 60 candidates.

  • Computer Science & Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
